This photo makes us realize how two critical quality-of-life markers have changed in our lives -  ’bicycle friendly’ and ‘good beer’ are levels ahead of what we had in this photo.
The photo shows Gentle Ben’s brewing company, the friendly college pub on University Boulevard in Tucson, AZ , the third most bicycle-friendly city in the US.

Who knew!! It would come so quickly after the last blog-post??!!….The first taste of Mort Subite Kriek, at Cafe Falstaff in Maastricht.
The verdict: Its almost as good as the graphics, a very fresh and crisp kriek, that avoids being over-sweet and/or tasting like cough syrup (Waterbury’s compound, if you know what that is!!) - a problem that besets its competitor, the Boon Kriek.

This blog has been quiet while we were having loads of fun on our trip to India - traveling and meeting friends and family in warm, sunny weather. It sucks to return to our quiet lives and  Dutch winter weather, and if it weren’t for the Christmas lights and festive cheer that’s in the air, we’d definitely be on a flight back home.
Christmas cheer is also showing up in the vegetable market by the way…in the form of these sweet crunchy red and green peppers!
