One major achievement of 2011 - learning to knit (even though its the simplest, most basic stitch) The scarf took almost all year to finish…but to see it warm a loved one this christmas night was clearly one of the biggest joys of the year!

The weather is an unholy mess of rain, hail and snow - but there are still a fair number of people out on the street since the bleakness of the weather is being mitigated by wonderful things like a huge Christmas market in the church, and candles and lights in every house, making everything look very bright and cozy.
